Our Approach

Woman-Owned and Woman-Run Firm

Blue Nation Strategies is proud to be a woman-owned and woman-run firm with experience in over 40 states. Working-class women will be a key universe to persuade in 2024. And historically, women make up the majority of general electorates. Bottom line: Having women and diversity at the table matters and increases your chance of winning. Maintaining a diverse team is a top priority as we build out our team every cycle.

A Full-Service Model

Election cycles are longer than ever before, and media cycles are shorter. Campaigns, caucuses, and independent expenditures need more support in the day-to-day execution of a race, especially in a midterm, when campaigns and organizations have to fight even harder for resources, staff, and attention. We make ourselves available to assist with strategy and execution. Our full-service model, combined with our team’s large-project production experience, means that our clients receive the best of both worlds—the attention of a boutique shop with the execution and cost savings of a large firm.

Unique Creative for Your Unique Race

We believe that a cookie-cutter template approach doesn’t work. Instead, we learn about the district and design a strategy tailored to the specific race. We have repeatedly found that communicating a candidate-specific, authentic message resonates and wins. These candidates are your neighbors, your friends, and your community members—their personal stories make them stand out and make them relatable to voters.

Creativity + Targeting = Victories

We pride ourselves on creative work that grabs voters’ attention. But the best creative work in the world doesn’t matter if it doesn’t get to the right voters. Our targeting expertise is unmatched. Working with Sam Nitz, we begin targeting conversations early, and we take the time to understand how national and issue models are behaving in individual districts. We have multicycle experience with turnout models, choice and gun score models, media consumption, mail readership, and candidate-specific models, in addition to our experience with the committee models. We excel at understanding scores and layering them correctly to target the right voters.
